Are you replying to me carlprick? I haven't said anything about Barney, but either way, I think he's amazing too.

Good point..I never really thought of Dave Gahan's mannerism as feminine..just uninhibited. I think everyone has a masculine and feminine side to them but they don't show it..Dave is an example of someone who does. I admit he does look ridiculous dancing sometimes but that's what I admire about him..he seems genuine. I love New Order's musical style, but don't see their music translated in form as Depeche Mode does.

I'm gonna have nightmares about grey dogs standing on random things now.

This is a remix, anyhow. Similarities between this version and Depeche Mode doesn't reflect particularly on New Order. The original's on YouTube as well, and has way different backing music.

To each their own. I believe Dave Gahan is an excellent singer, I mean technically he's very good, but I can't stand his feminine mannerism, it makes me cringe all the time. He just doesn't do it for me as a frontman, just my opinion.

It doesn't matter who came first, I just think that New Order are more talented and more genuine. This is coming from someone who used to like Depeche Mode more than New Order during their peaks. Anyway, it's ok if you like them equally too, they're both good, I was just sharing my view of things.
