Yeah, mine was pretty sensitive, but I think it had a regulator on how sensitive you wanted it, just never messed around with it, I had a Crimeguard alarm in my car with the LED in front of the rear view mirror, never had any issues...I guess it was good enough to do its job...

Did you ever put an alarm system on the car? or was the factory oem one good enough? Im considering getting a viper. Lately two of my friends systems got stolen so I'm keeping a closer eye on my car, but would feel safer with a better alarm.. The oem one is not sensitive at all if I hit the door or anything it does not go off or give a warning. Did yours?
